Hull, keel and rudder have not been faired. Standing rigging is original. Running rigging needs to be updated. Boat is on a trailer in Henderson Harbor, NY and can be moved to suit charterer's preference. Boat has a working KVH Sailcomp and running lights. Outboard motor is a 5 HP Mercury new in 2000. No reported soft spots. The boat has not been sailed in the last two years and has been kept in indoor storage.

USA 2991 is a proven Newport RI Fleet 50 winner. Built in 1981 it spent the first few years at J/World then was used for cruising in RI for 10 years. We bought the boat in 1994 and began the full racing upgrade. After 17 years everything is new. In 2008 we did a full inside and out structural and cosmetic overhaul. New core in 90% of the deck. Reinforced where alowed on the hull and interior. Enclosed the aft hatches. Glassed in the forward bunks. Keel sump upgrade was done in 1998 when we did the bottom and keel fairing job. Durepox from the waterline down. Gelcoat from the waterline up. Final step was the brand new Sparcraft mast in 2010. Boat is ready to go. Min weight hull, max weight keel. All hardware and rigging is up to date. For the right charter price would consider getting bottom done again this winter. |
